Zones, separations, classification records and the daily inventory snapshot
Provenance
Every number the engine reports traces back to something entered here. Inventory arrives as a daily snapshot, not a live feed, which is how these sites actually run. Substance classification is derived from CLP hazard statements by a fixed mapping table — the language model transcribes the safety data sheet and nothing else.
Inventory snapshot
Upload replaces the whole snapshot. Rows that reference an unknown zone or an unclassified substance are rejected and listed rather than silently dropped — a partial snapshot would understate the aggregate.
SDS extraction
The model reads substance identity and CLP hazard statement codes off the sheet. It does not assign COMAH categories, qualifying quantities or tiers — those come from the mapping table below, so an extraction error surfaces as a wrong quoted code, not a wrong tier.

Distance is the shortest open path between zones; barrier is the most protective structure on that path. Anything not recorded here is treated by the engine as unseparated open ground.
